DESCRIPTION:OCT 28 – Dec 2nd Monday evenings from 630-9pm at the Yoga House Downtown (same location as last year)  \n\n\n\nMelissa Berry Appleton\, local meditation teacher and buddhist chaplin\, and Alysha Mackensie-Feder are planning another series this fall and wanted to send a note as a “Save the date” \n\n\n\nOCT 28 – Dec 2nd Monday evenings from 630-9pm at the Yoga House Downtown (same location as last year)  \n\n\n\nMore information to come soon\, but the format will be similar to last year: Guided meditation\, gentle movement and discussion. We are limiting registration to keep it intimate\, so register soon! \n\n\n\nSpend a long weekend in beautiful Santa Fe at Upaya Zen Center’s brand new facility with fellow physicians to discover a healthier and more sustainable relationship with medicine. \n\n\n\nThis retreat will be guided by me\, medical anthropologist and Buddhist teacher Roshi Joan Halifax PhD\, emergency physician and journalist Dr. Clayton Dalton and well known yoga teacher Elena Brower. We will come together as a community to explore the topics in the book\, learn contemplative practices and enjoy nature walks and yoga. \n\n\n\nScholarships and travel stipend for BIPOC women medical students and physicians available through a generous grant from The Frederick P.
