MSA Achievements/Projects:

Listed below are the actions we’ve been taking based on your feedback:

How to source your own funding:

Listed below are various avenues to get your ideas funded:

  • Facility Engagement is the best one-stop shop. This is run by your local MSA, and if they can not fund your project, they will link you with the people who can.
  • Heath System Redesign (HSR) – looks to larger scale projects that transforms the system. For example we have funded a cadaver lab and educational resources through this.
  • Physician quality improvement – a popular favourite. Combining QI learning while funding your quality improvement project.
  • Shared Care – focused mainly on community and specialist combined projects but has recently moved to specialist to specialist (has to be a different specialty) to help on larger ideas that trancend our usual silos.
  • KGH Foundation – our local favourite, they can often be more nimble in funding and are your only source for funding physician education. Ideas do need a dyad partner within KGH admin but drop them a line and they can point you in the right direction. They also fund equiment but are moving towards innovation.
  • JCC Physician Leadership program – they fund multiple leadership course but are also now funding coaching. Rules apply but most people are very successful in their applications.
