June Retreat

Roshi Joan and I just returned from teaching a retreat at Blue Spirit Costa Rica with Frank Ostaseski, David Whyte and other wonderful teachers. We can’t wait for the Inner Practice of Medicine physician-only retreat here at Upaya!

Spend a long weekend in beautiful Santa Fe at Upaya Zen Center’s brand new facility with fellow physicians to discover a healthier and more sustainable relationship with medicine.

This retreat will be guided by me, medical anthropologist and Buddhist teacher Roshi Joan Halifax PhD, emergency physician and journalist Dr. Clayton Dalton and well known yoga teacher Elena Brower. We will come together as a community to explore the topics in the book, learn contemplative practices and enjoy nature walks and yoga.
