4th Annual Hematology Update -Virtual and in person (Edmonton)
The annual hematology update is designed for healthcare professionals involved in the primary care and diagnostic evaluation of patients with suspected hematologic conditions, including allied health professionals and pharmacists.
In 2026, the fully accredited conference is expanding to a hybrid format, including participants from British Columbia and Saskatchewan. The program will focus on practical, current topics that primary care providers commonly encounter in daily practice, with the goal of improving awareness and supporting the co-management of patients with hematologic conditions. The conference will conclude with a discussion of regional referral pathways.
Topics will include interpretation of the complete blood count (CBC), commonly prescribed oral hematology medications, management of bleeding in patients on anticoagulation, immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), and indications for bone marrow biopsy. Please refer to the website for the full agenda.
